Daniel Rosenfeld a.k.a C418 is a musician widely known for his work on producing the music and sounds for Minecraft. C418 can definitely set the mood and tone for the Amplitude narrative because his music has a sense of ambiance to the melody yet it is rhythmic in nature. C418 was born in East Germany and learned how to make computer music at an early age. He enjoys creating “meaningful music” as an independent musician and loves music, computers, and his cat.
The sounds emitting from C418 are both peaceful and dreamlike such as in the track Familiar Faces and Sod. Tracks such as It’s Complicated and Please do feature the same sound with a more futuristic tone. The music by C418 is perfectly perfect in ambient settings as well as video games. In his piece, I sometimes make music for video games, you’ll discover that he indeed does just that. The sound is more upbeat and energetic in contrast to the other mystifying and melodic tracks mentioned above. One last track that grabbed my attention is Droopy likes your face because it is one of the few tracks featuring vocals which are actually more warped and robotic-like than human. It will be exciting to see what approach C418 takes on a game such as Amplitude!
